Nansloe Manor stands in over 1.6 hectares of Mediterranean inspired, subtropical gardens, accessed from the main road along a private, tree lined drive and is set in natural farm land surroundings in the Loe valley, less than 3km from the sea. There is a lovely walk from the hotel via and round the largest natural fresh water lake in Cornwall to the beach.
The gardens are beautifully maintained by two full time gardeners, who are happy to show you around anytime. They include a large sheltered Walled Garden with a period glass house, a secluded orchard with apple, plum, pear, mulberry and walnut trees, a large sweeping lawn and woodlands featuring evergreen holm oaks. There are many large mature trees and shrubs, but also a great many varieties of iris purchased from the renowned specialist Cayeaux family.
